Salary Range:$65,500 - $72,500
Supplier Support Specialist (Hours: 7:00AM to 4:00PM)
Lead and organize containment and notification of supplier related issues to impacted husky organizations. Notify the supplier of the need for source containment and corrective actions; collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE), Global Supply Chain (GSC), and external suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Notification of NCs to the supplier and to SQE, factory quality, and factory of the discovery of a supplier related issue.
•Organize and or conduct containment for the issue for site WIP, inventory, and associated inbound suspect product.
•Issue formal request for corrective actions/8D analysis to supplier in question and SQ leadership/engineers.
•Work with the plant’s quality leader to evaluate if outbound Husky material containment is required and assist in any such actions.
•Distribute Global Quality alert and recommended containment approach if necessary to SQE and other impacted plants.
•Maintain records of the number of parts impacted and number of defects found in various containment gates at local site.
•Request documentation from supplier on “fence posts” of problems via day codes and lot/batch traceability.
Data analysis (historical) for identified problems.
•Occasionally, participate in supplier audits.
•Participate as necessary in daily activities for the clinic & execution of all clinics.
•Back-up to other Supplier or Operations Support Specialists as needed.
•Maintain control of supplier items in quarantine (IDR/MRB) locations working with inspection departments, as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering or Quality, or technical certification.
•2 – 3 years industrial experiences preferred.
•Ability to interact with internal and external suppliers’ quality and engineering departments.
•Effective written and oral communication.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
•Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
•Excellent organizational and time management skills
•Ability to multitask and manage demanding time requirements.
